The data controller is AMPL LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 17083221).
What we collect
When you sign up we collect your name, email, mobile number, date of birth, postcode, household size, and which benefits you receive. If you sign up through your council, you also upload one proof-of-benefit document so we can verify eligibility.
How we use it
We use your details to verify that you qualify for the card, to show you deals relevant to your area and household, and to let you sign in and manage your account. Your savings history is shown back to you on the home page.
Our legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests in providing Ampl service, and with your consent where we explicitly ask for it — for example, if we send you marketing emails about new deals.
Your verification documents are deleted within 24 hours
Once a member of our team has checked your proof of benefit, the document is permanently deleted from our systems. We don’t keep a copy and we don’t share it with anyone. All we retain is a timestamp recording that the check was completed.
We never share your data with retailers
Retailers only see anonymous numbers — how many deals were redeemed, not who redeemed them. They do not receive your name, email, address, or any identifying information.
Your council sees aggregate numbers too
Council partners see how many residents are signed up and the total savings generated in their area. They don’t see individual member records unless they are also verifying a specific referral from their own system.
Your rights
You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time from your account page. If you want a copy of everything we hold on you, or you want your account permanently deleted, email us and we’ll do it within 7 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Verification documents are deleted within 24 hours as described above. We may retain anonymised, non-identifiable data for statistical purposes indefinitely.
Sub-processors
Your data is stored and processed using Supabase (database and file storage, hosted in the EU) and Vercel (application hosting). Both operate under appropriate data processing agreements. We do not use any advertising or analytics sub-processors.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
